DJ PROFILE |
Since her first gig at the Station Hotel in 1997, Miss Peta has built a solid reputation in the Melbourne club scene for playing seamless, melodic key-mixed DJ sets which include an eclectic mixture of new electronic music, club anthems, and the odd old school funky house number. Miss Peta's earliest DJ gigs also included playing regular Sunday afternoons at Candy Bar (Prahran)(playing Latin, tribal and Vocal House) with Latino DJ crew (Quipu Sound Company) in the summer. Miss Peta was lucky enough to be playing alongside some of Melbourne's finest house DJs including Liz Millar and Nathan G. Miss Peta then secured a residency at a funky little cocktail bar called Mango Lounge Bar, tucked away in Moonee Ponds. At Mango, Miss Peta played a mixture of deep 'toe-tapping' soulful house, and funkier techhy stuff later. At that time, Miss Peta was playing a lot of funky vocal house, as well as west coast/deep house.
